On October 17, the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in China hosted the “Ethiopia-China Investment Forum” in Beijing. 

During the forum, His Excellency Ahmed Sheikh, Minister of Finance of Ethiopia, His Excellency Habtamu Tegene, Minister of Mining, and Ms. Li Lis Naim, Director of the Investment Commission, as well as other high-level government officials, provided a comprehensive and systematic introduction to the trade environment, investment environment, encouraging policies, and major market opportunities in Ethiopia. Chen Tong, the Chairman of HIETC, was invited to participate.

The purpose of this event is to further strengthen the economic and trade exchanges between China and the Ethiopian business community. Building upon the establishment of an all-weather strategic partnership between China and Ethiopia, the forum aims to attract and encourage more Chinese companies to invest and construct in Ethiopia, in order to share opportunities, seek business prospects, and promote mutual development.
